Snow Day

It snowed!

Last weekend, we were in short sleeve shirts enjoying the 78 degree weather and last night it snowed.

One thing we have learned about living in the South.

When it snows here.  You wake up the kids, bring them outside in their pajamas because chances are it will be melted by morning.

Ben was so excited he barely slept.  He had his blinds open and made a little nest of quilts and pillows in the middle of his room so that he could stay up and watch the snow.

And we got lucky.
The snow stuck.

The sun came up and we had snow solidly until about noon.

As it began to melt and more grass was popping through the snow.  Austin ran into the garage and grabbed his lawnmower.  Brother was determined to keep the grass out of his snow.

The snow was too icy to build a snowman so we improvised.

 Snowvan.

The snow in our front yard provided hours of entertainment.

The self proclaim - 'Snow Ninja'

 Silly snow portraits.

And sledding....oh, the sledding was epic.

We may not have had much snow but we made the most of it for the time it was here.

Happy Friday.
